E-mail Hoaxes
You may have received similar e-mails. I guess, it was planned by the author to trick the mail recipent into launching into a scam website to enter User’s Bank ATM PIN or trick user into "update" their personal particulars. The e-mail goes like this...
From: legititate bank’s e-mail account. (spoofed)
Subject: Westpac official notice
Dear cIient of the Westpac Bank,
The recent cases of fraudulent use of clients accounts forced the Technical services of the bank to update the software. We regret to acknowledge, that some data on users accounts could be lost. The administration kindly asks you to follow the reference given below and to sign in to your online banking account:

Please do not answer this message and follow the above mentioned instructions.

I did a trace - View Menu and select Options to display Message Options. And this is what I found:

So it looks, like someone at 216.93.166.122 has a virus on his/her computer.
I am not sure which virus or spyware generated this e-mail but I would to know.
