It is time to switch to FireFox 3.x

Linux - MAC OSX - Windows

Firefox 3

What's New in Firefox 3.X

  • Do more with FireFox (see right panel).

  • Improvements to popup blocking.

  • Many security enhancements.

  • Better support for Mac OS X including profile migration from Safari and Mac Internet Explorer.

  • Faster browser navigation with improvements to back and forward button performance.

  • Drag and drop reordering for browser tabs.

  • Better accessibility including support for DHTML accessibility and assistive technologies such as the Window-Eyes 5.5 beta screen reader for Microsoft Windows. Screen readers read aloud all available information in applications and documents or show the information on a Braille display, enabling blind and visually impaired users to use equivalent software functionality as their sighted peers.

  • Clear Private Data feature provides an easy way to quickly remove personal data through a menu item or keyboard shortcut.

  • New support for Web Standards including SVG, CSS 2 and CSS 3, and JavaScript 1.6.

  • Firefox is truly the next generation of web browsers.

Some browsers don't check if a target frame belongs to a website containing a malicious link, which therefore doesn't prevent one browser window from loading content in a named frame in another window. Successful exploitation allows a malicious website to load arbitrary content in an arbitrary frame in another browser window owned by e.g. a trusted site.

Firefox has been met with glowing praise from reviewers, web authors, the blogging community and the more than three million users who have left behind web nuisances such as pop-up ads, security holes and spyware by installing Firefox.
