Issues that Are fixed by Service Pack 2 are:
- Database Window Is Displayed When You Click the Application Icon Even Though You Turned Off the "Display Database Window" Startup Option
- Database Password Prompt Appears After You Open a Database Using a Hyperlink or Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Code
- A Report That Should Open to Print Preview View or to Print Switches to Design View Unexpectedly
- Horizontal Scroll Bar Is Not Displayed on a Subform
- Font List Is Displayed Incorrectly in Label Wizard Dialog Box
- Mscal.ocx Breaks Binary Compatibility For Early Bound Clients
- Horizontal Scroll Bar Is Not Displayed on a Subform - When a subform control is less than 4 inches wide and the subform control uses the record navigation buttons and the horizontal scroll bar, the horizontal scroll bar does not appear. This occurs even when you must have the horizontal scroll bar.
- Using CTRL+APOSTROPHE and Appending Text Causes Access to Quit
- The Japanese version of Access unexpectedly quits after you insert the value from the same field in the previous record by using CTRL+APOSTROPHE (’), and then append additional text to that field. Records Not Updateable After Using Linked Table Manager. You cannot update records in a linked table that is linked to a view after you run the Linked Table Manager to refresh the links.
- Cannot Repair a Password Protected Database - When you try to open a database that has a password and that must be repaired, you receive the message.
- Not a valid password - although you entered the correct password. Therefore, the database cannot be opened and cannot be repaired.
- No Confirmation Deleting a Record - When you delete a record from a form, you do not receive a message that prompts you to confirm if you want to delete the record. This occurs when the Record Changes check box is selected and both the Modal and the Pop-up form properties are set to Yes.
- Sort Order of Indexes Change After Upsizing Database - After you use the Upsizing Wizard to upsize a database, any indexes that are set to descending order are changed to ascending order in the resulting database. NOTE: To prevent this problem, you must install both the SP-2 and Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.6 or later. To install the latest version of MDAC, you can also use the Component Checker from this site to determine the current version of MDAC installed on your computer.
- Spanish Access Does Not Recognize the Word Formularios - The Spanish version of Access cannot correctly interpret the word Formularios, which means Forms. This may unexpectedly cause a prompt for a parameter value. Action Query Commits Changes to Data When Cancelled. When you run an action query that has been converted from a select query and you respond with No to the prompt to commit the changes, the changes are still committed.
