Fix Microsoft Outlook Broken PST File

You can use Scanpst.exeto fix PST files and also on offline folder .ost files used for offline access to Exchange Server folders.

This inbox repair tool scanpst.exe is installed in your computer. Use the Search File to locate it. We have a mirrorred copied here if you cannot find it in your computer. Unzip it and drop it into your Computer Desktop.

Run the program. Enter the name of the file or use the browse function to locate the .pst file you want to fix. Then click the Start button. It will scans your personal folder file for errors and inconsistencies. After the scan is complete, you can choose to repair the errors and inconsistencies.

If an OST file is corrupted beyond the ability of Scanpst.exe to repair it, you will need to change the settings for the Exchange Server service (Tools | Services) to use a new OST file, then synchronize it with the server.

Tip: Use the Windows Search command to locate your .PST files.
