Windows XP vs Vista Cold Boot Test

2 Identical New Notebooks - HP Compaq 6510b with the same hardware configuration. The one on the left has been down-graded to Windows XP Professional SP3. The one on the right was left as it is, running Windows Vista Business SP1. The cold boot time for the XP was about 45 seconds. While the Vista Machine took a long 3 minutes to reach the point where it is ready to run other software - phew!

This video was recorded using a Nokia E51 and ran for about 3 minutes. You noticed that the XP Machine gave up waiting at 2:45min, when it switches the screen off to power saving mode.
