Free XP SP3 Update

Windows XP Service Pack 3 (XP SP3) includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This update also includes a small number of new functionalities, which do not significantly change customers experience with the operating system.  Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) will runs Microsoft Office Suite 10% faster than on XP SP2.  According to the Office performance benchmarks, Windows XP SP3 is also considerably faster than Vista SP1.

The new XP SP3 can be applied to the followings Windows Operating Systems: Windows XP; Windows XP Home Edition ; Windows XP Home Edition N; Windows XP Media Center Edition; Windows XP Professional Edition ; Windows XP Professional N; Windows XP Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 2; Windows XP Starter Edition; Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.

Windows XP SP3 will integrate changes to Internet Explorerand to Windows Media Player into the refresh. Microsoft has agreed tomake changes to Windows XP, two Middleware Products, and Windows LiveMessenger. The Windows Live Messenger changes have been delivered inthe Windows Live Messenger 8.5 and will be included in the public release.

Microsoft has announced that the Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) features backported from Windows Vista, such as black hole router detection, Network Access Protection and Windows Imaging Component.  There would be a total of 1,073 fixes in XP SP3.
