Try downloading Stinger and perform a quick scan - just verify that no viruses have sneaked into your system.
Then Uninstall Mcafee AV, reboot. Reinstall the the AV software and run the update.
In reply to dave: When I attempt to get new virus updates I get an error message RuLaunch.exe and I have to abort.
How can I correct this error?
