Re: HijackThisLog Analysis - Jsinger

I've had HijackThis remove several of these items, including everything labeled R1 and R0 as well as the BHO called apphddll When I restart the computer, all these items come back. I've tried rebooting to safe mode and then manually removing the EXEs and DLLs these refer to.
Comments: You are currently running version 1.97. Try downloading the new version 1.98 (Download), it will show more startup information. You may like to review this page - "where are trojan hiding".

Here is what you should do.
End the below suspicious process :
C:\WINDOWS\ipbq32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\apphd.exe
Remove these search keys:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res:??C:\WINDOWS\system32\ieaoh.dll/sp.html#37049 R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = res:??ieaoh.dll/index.html#37049 R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = res:??ieaoh.dll/index.html#37049 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = res:??C:\WINDOWS\system32\ieaoh.dll/sp.html#37049 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = res:??ieaoh.dll/index.html#37049 R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = res:??C:\WINDOWS\system32\ieaoh.dll/sp.html#37049
Remove these additional browser plug-in keys (O2...O4):
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {464D92F2-07FA-27C1-B7F1-5DD3F0213DB2} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\apphd.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [apphd.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\apphd.exe
Remove these ActiveX Objects (aka Downloaded Program Files) if you are not using them:
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console (HKLM) O9 - Extra button: AIM (HKLM)
Reboot the computer and put it to safe mode. Then delete these files from your C: drive.
C:\WINDOWS\ipbq32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\apphd.exe
Original log but with private information removed.
