Freeware TIF file creator

The procedure here is very similar to our Freeware PDF file creator setup sequence.

And follow the procedure Step 1 to 4 but replace Step 5 with the following procedure.

Step 5)

• Right click on the installed printer and select Properties. 
• Select Port Tab and Click Add Port.
• Choose "Redirected Port" and click New Port button
• Enter port name RPT2: and click OK.
• Check that RPT2 Port is checked and click Configure Port button and copy and paste the following 2 lines into the first 2 boxes:
  • C:\gs\gs8.00\bin\gswin32c.exe
  • @c:\gs\djet500.rsp -sOutputFile="C:\gs\dump.out\%d.tif" -dCompatibilityLevel#1.2 -dPDFSETTINGS=/ebook -dSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dBATCH -sDEVICE#tiffg4 -
• Output: Program handles output
• Run: Minimized
• Click Ok.

That's all the setting that is needed and you are reading to create PDF files.

To test, open any document and printer to "Apple LaserWriter II NT v47.0 - TIF".  And the TIF file is generated into C:\GS\DUMP.OUT folder.
