Nyxem Computer Virus

Nyxem Computer Virus is a new e-mail worm that spreads under the guise of pornographic content, thus aka Kama Sutra Worm. When run on a Windows PC, the worm copies itself to shared network locations and sends itself to e-mail addresses found on the target computer. The pest includes a timed attack that attempts to disable antivirus and firewall software and delete certain files, including Office documents, delete all Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF file types from a compromised PC, on the third day of the month.

Nyxem Computer Virus spread via email using a variety of pornographic disguises (contain obscene pictures and sex movies) - packaged in emails with subject headings like "give me a kiss" and "crazy illegal sex", in an attempt to disable security software.

In less than a month since it was discovered, it was estimated that there are 510,000 infected systems. If you are not sure whether your computer is infected, download Symantec Malware Removal Tools and run it.

Also known as W32.Blackmal.E@mm, mail-Worm.Win32.VB.bi, Blackworm, CME-24, Blackmal, Mywife.E, the Kama Sutra worm.

From the link provided by [Noel], according to Sophos the dangerous worm only affects Windows PC and will not affect machines running on different operating systems such as Mac OS.
