According to Microsoft, PST the shorten name of Personal Store. It is just a shorten name like Excel files are known as .xls. PST files can contain multiple e-mails, notes, tasks and even contacts folders. In Outlook you may have multiple pst files. You can store and share pst file on the server or on your harddisk.
