Our software is only one of many tools you have to run your organization. The most effective way to use these tools is to find out all you can about them and then use them in the manner in which they were designed to be used.
With that framework in mind, we have developed an extensive training program for our customers; from initial training for a new customer to advanced report writing for in-depth reporting needs, we have all the training courses you will need to use MAC-NET to its maximum potential.
Initial User Training - Initial user training usually takes place after the system has been installed and a representative sample of inventory items, rate schedules, customer types, and territory relationships have been entered into the computer. This training will include logging on and off the computer, data backup, system start-up and shutdown, software overview, data tables, running programs, sending batch jobs, printing reports, and a discussion of programs with special sessions on the Order Entry and AR update programs.
Initial System Manager training and the MAC-NET System Manager's course are also held during this session. System Manager training covers the basics of starting and stopping the system, adding and deleting users, setting up the database maintenance plan, backing up the data files, and many other related topics. Topics for the Manager's course include the logic and use of many programs, such as Owners, Customer Types, Shipping, and Taxes that are needed by the programs but not normally available to users.
Advanced User Training - Advanced user training normally takes place towards the end of the parallel run with your current system of shortly after you have switched over to MAC-NET. It is timed so that your data entry people are comfortable with the software and its basic operations. This training includes a review of initial training, balancing reports, transfer of data to your General Ledger, an introduction to the Crystal Report Writer, and a session with management on how to use the reports that come with MAC-NET.
Additional Training - Formal Crystal Reports training is supplied by Crystal Decisions at various locations around the country and, at a minimum, the Introductory Report Design and Crystal Info Administrator courses are strongly recommended. Formal training on Microsoft SQL Server administration is also recommended. The above training is considered to be the minimum needed for a successful MAC-NET installation.
